Introduction
UcConditioner5V or 3.3V is an ultracapacitor conditioner board that works with any existing 5V or 3.3V power supply.
UcCondit ioner will significantly improve the power supply quality by reducing both internal ESR and the noise levels, as well as increasing the stability and the maximal deliver current.
For audiophiles, upgrading power supply with UcConditioner could be a one of the best solutions to achieve better sound quality.
In the mid of 2025, UcConditionerPro 2025 series was newly released by upgrading the very popular UcConditionerPro. The new series employs parallel input elements to make less voltage drop in conditioning mode. The performance has been improved even more by the re-designed four layers double copper thickness PCB. Larger grade input/output terminal block connectors are introduced for capable of multiple wire connections. New 800F series are also first time released to achieve a higher level.
Highlighted Features and Specifications
- Fully ultra low resistance MOS FET architecture .
- Built in automatic per charge/charge circuits with current limitation.
- Enable/disable conditioning is performed by monitoring ultra capacitors and DC input status.
- All control logics are running automatically at background, no need any external control signal.
- Very easy to use. Just input and output.
- On board active balancers for ultra capacitor protection.
- LED indications for power on, power good, ultra capacitor full and conditioning.
- Double thickness 2oz PCB copper layer s especially designed for high current and ultra low ESR applications.
- MOS FETs is controlled by optical isolators to eliminate any possible leakage current.
- Output is 100% following the input without any delay.
- With ON/OFF control signal output for possible requirement.
- DIY friendly , works for any 5V power supply, plug and play , no software is required.
UcConditioner Pro new features
- High quality low ESR ultracapacitors are pre-assembled. Plug and play. No need for any soldering job.
- Overall ESR is 30% lower than the previous versions.
- New high efficiency power management solution to reduce the peak charging current, speed up the charging time and make the overall EMI noise even lower
- Equipped with vertical mounting brackets
UcConditioner Pro 2025 new features
- Parallel input elements reduce the voltage drop during conditioning mode, great for high current low noise applications
- Re-designed four layers double copper thickness PCB to improve the overall performance even more
- Larger grade input/output terminal block connectors capable of connecting bigger or multiple wires.
- 800F higher capacity versions are available
Note:
1. UcConditioner 3.3V can only work with 3.3V power supply, while UcConditioner 5V can only work with 5V power supply.
2. Please make sure the UcConditioner is shut down and un-powered when you install any connections include USB-C to it. UcConditiners have very low ESR at conditioning mode and may cause connector damage if there is any short circuit. Please use high quality cable as short as possible. Please never use a cable extender. If you use a USB power adapter as input, please make sure it is good enough and capable of deliver 2.5A or higher current while the voltage above 4.90V.
3. When use a new UcConditioner Pro 2025 800F with a linear power supply, I'm highly recommend a 5A high current ones such as a LinearPi Pro. It's better to change the fuse to 8A. The default 5A fuse could be too safe when works with the new UcConditioner 2025 series.
4. UcConditioner Pro 2025 needs #34B 25mm longer standoffs when work with LinearPi.
5. UcConditioner Pro 2025 needs #34C 35mm even longer standoffs when work with LinearPiPro.
6.When #25A, #25B or #26B works with a LinearPi, need the #34A Standoff screw sets .
6. #25A UcConditioner may works with only old ultracapacitor footprints.

Typical applications
1. Using UcConditioner 5V to improve a USB power supply

2. Upgrade a 5V/3.3V linear power supply (great for RPi, LinearPi 5V is in the picture)

3. Build ultra-high quality +/- 5V analog power supply (great for OPA861 I/V)

4. Upgrade LifePO4 Mini 3.3V with a UcConditioner 3.3V

5. Upgrade a PurePi with a UcConditioner 3.3V

Several years ago I built an Allo DigiOne Signature streamer and was mostly very pleased with it. Since then, I put together a system for my mother using a rebuilt Mac Mc2105 and Sansui tuner. As I subscribe to Tidal, I decided to add a Dac and initially used the DigiOne. Discovering “Ian Canada,” the web site and streamers, I researched and decided to pull the trigger on the 93b Flagship Streamer kit. The build process was enjoyable and mostly intuitive; there are videos and pictures that help guide you, plus all the manuals for each board. Logic and common sense go a long way here, given there isn’t an assembly manual and, as such, might not be ideally suited to a novice; then, again, Ian was very helpful, almost immediately, upon request. While these “Ian Canada” systems are not inexpensive, they’re well worth the price, in my estimation, as the engineering is nothing short of brilliant, the quality second to none, the build process a joy and the outcome very rewarding. The monitoring led lights are a nice touch, as the thing, cute in and of itself, lights up like a Christmas tree, while the led’s are as informative as a set of Stewart Warner gauges; even my girlfriend loves it!
The Wifi signal is somewhat weak in my setup’s location, resolved the issue by using a repeater as an endpoint and an ethernet cable – 5g & no dropouts. The SQ was noticeably improved, over the DigiOne. However, I almost immediately got the upgrade bug, wondering how far I might push it, upgrading to Accusilicon AS338 clocks and adding the LifePO4 Mini/Pro 3.3v PS and UcConditioner – this combination elevated the listening experience to a whole new plateau! The system needs to time to gel, but on the very first night, was so taken, I listened for hours, couldn’t pull away, ears ringing in the morning – my old system has never sounded better!
One last point, I used DH Labs, silver coated, high purity copper, stranded 14 gauge wire to complete the process of wiring the PS, UcConditioner and two boards together – I’m mentioning this because 14 gauge is the limit, as it was tricky to double up on the output of the UcConditioner in order to supply the two top boards, the HDMI PiPro II and FifoPi Q7 III.
I’m very pleased with the outcome and quite impressed, not something easily achieved. I can’t see how anyone could be disappointed with these systems. If you love DIY, this is definitely for you!
UcConditioner excellent performance, virtually transforms performance, both cleaner signal as well as significant improvement in dynamics.
One more time sound improvement 👍🏻
works well
Update for my Volumio transport based in IAN componentes. I do not know if the SC-Pure, the UcConditioner or the combination bossted my system - but it works!
